Billie Piper Suffers From Sudden Sight Loss

Billie Piper was rushed to hospital after she suffered from a sudden loss of eyesight, reports The Mirror.

Piper suffered from blurred vision during a night out at a restaurant. She tried to cover her face up when the photographer's bulbs started flashing and was in discomfort. The next morning the 'Doctor Who' actress could not open her eyes.

The 24-year-old was taken to Moorfield's Eye Hospital in Central London.

A friend of Piper said, "She's being looked at but we don't know the score. It could be that her eyesight has been damaged or that she has some form of infection or other condition."

ITV said, "She has non-permanent damage to her sight."

Experts have said that retinal damage can be caused by camera flashes but this is rare and could serve as a trigger for existing conditions.
