Halle Berry Hires Security Following Racist Threats

Halle Berry has hired security guards because of racist threats to her unborn baby, reports The Mirror.

The star, three months pregnant, has received letters at her LA home from an anonymous person.

One said she and her child would be "cut into hundreds of pieces".

Halle, 41, who has a white father and an African-American mother, is expecting her first child with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.

A source close to the Oscar winning actress said, "Halle does not normally use security but she has taken on a couple of guys to make sure." Police are investigating the threats.

Halle Berry: Three Months Gone

Halle Berry was spotted shopping for baby clothes, reports TMZ. Gabriel Aubry is the father.

The 41-year-old actress told 'Access Hollywood; that she is three months pregnant. Berry and Aubry, a model, met in November 2005.

According to TMZ, Halle Berry was set to film Lionsgate film 'Tulia' in October. But the plans have been scrapped as a source reveals that Halle is three months pregnant.

Halle is dating model Gabriel Aubrey.

Also, the film has not been shelved entirely; producers may decide to pick it up at a later date.

Halle Berry became the 2,333rd person to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The Oscar winning actress said, “I am so emotional. As soon as I saw the crowds of people and friends here, I started to cry.”

Halle Supports Anti-Racism Campaign

Halle Berry has shown her support for the Mirror's Hope Not Hate anti-racism campaign.

The Oscar winning actress who suffered from racist abuse when she was younger, spoke as the campaign bus drove through Liverpool.

She said: "The Mirror campaign is to be supported."

"I experienced racism when I was a child. It was difficult being one of the only black children in an all-white school of 1,500.

"I believe in diversity...It is only ignorance that allows us to stay at odds with each other."

Halle Berry Tried To Kill Herself

Halle Berry once tried to commit suicide when her marriage to former baseball star David Justice fell apart, reports TMZ.

In an interview with Parade magazine, the 'Monster's Ball' actress claimed that she tried to use exhaust fumes to take her own life, but then stopped at the last minute.

Halle said, "I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming, when I had an image of my mother finding me."

"She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do. It was all about a relationship. My sense of worth was so low. I promised myself I would never be a coward again."

During the interview, Berry also admitted that she underwent sex therapy with ex-husband #2 Eric Benet, an experience that she wishes she never had. "I was putting everyone's needs before mine." She split up with Benet in 2005.

Now, Halle is dating 31-year-old model Gabriel Aubry, says she wants to be a mom, telling the magazine, "my sights are set on a different chapter of my life, which is motherhood. That's the goal I have very clearly set for myself."
