Dermot O' Leary, currently hosting Big Brother’s Little Brother, landed one of the hottest jobs in TV earlier this year when he was announced as the new host of ITV’s X-Factor.
Since then other presenters believed to be in the running have insisted they would have turned the job down.
Speaking to heat magazine Dermot hit back saying, “There are probably only two people in the country who would turn down that job.”
Referring to an interview Vernon Kay did with heat in April, in which he said he wouldn’t take the job if it was offered to him, Dermot added, “Everyone else who says they’d turn it down, they’re lying. They’ve said it to you. It’s the biggest show in the country.”
“Unless you’re Jonathan Ross or Ant and Dec…if you say you’d turn it down, you’re full of s**t. Even Davina wouldn’t turn that job down – she told me herself.”
