Movie Awards Season

It's time for the stars of the big screen to step up and get their awards - if they win of course.

On 10 February the BAFTA Awards will be given out in London.

The 80th Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre, Los Angeles, on 24 February.

& the night before the Oscars, the Razzie Awards will be given out to acknowledge the worst in cinema this year. Lindsay Lohan and Eddie Murphy could be big 'winners' or losers there. I really hope 'Good Luck Chuck' gets a Razzie - as it is the most pathetic film I have ever seen!

F***ing @ The BAFTAs

Dame Helen Mirren won a BAFTA for her role in The Queen, but she made a royal blunder when using the F word while being interviewed on the red carpet.

She was warned about not using bad language - like she has done in the past - because she was on TV station where such language is not used.
Mirren replied "where people don't swear? F***ing nutbag" When she found out what she had done she responded "Is it live? I'm sorry, I do apologise."

The Daily Mirror reports that Kate Winslet shouted "F***" when she was faced with a flight of stairs while wearing high stilettos.
