Naomi Campbell has spoken out about her community service, saying that she found "solace in sweeping".
The supermodel spent five days sweeping and mopping public buildings after being convicted of assault.
Campbell threw a mobile phone at her maid, which hit her in the head.
In her journal, published in W Magazine, Campbell wrote, "I find solace in sweeping. I have the time to think. Just have, you know, peace."
"One of my co-workers tells me how he ended up here, basically because of alcohol. I bond with him and tell him that I'm in recovery."
"I'm such a controlling person. Some people can handle a drink or a line of cocaine. For me it's all or nothing so it has to be nothing."
