Furtado In Secret Wedding

Nelly Furtado secretly married her boyfriend earlier this year.

Furtado, 29, married sound engineer Demacio Castellon on 19 July. The couple had worked together on Furtado's 2006 album, Loose.

She told Entertainment Tonight Canada, "I love it. I'm happy... I'm excited about the future."

Furtado shot to fame in 2000 with her her hit single I'm Like a Bird and debut album Whoa, Nelly!

Speaking about her marriage, Furtado added, "I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out."

MTV EMAs: Nominees Announced

The awards season continues with the MTV Europe Music Awards taking place in Munich on 1 November. The event will be hosted by Snoop Dogg and Mika is among those who will be performing on the night.

Justin Timberlake leads the pack with four nominations. Beyonce, Amy Winehouse, Nelly Furtado and Rihanna are among the artists who have picked up three nominations.

Ex Football Star Insults Nelly Furtado

Ex-England footballer Paul Gascoigne was ejected from a party hosted by Nelly Furtado after he got drunk and insulted the singer, reports The Mirror.

The event held at a club in London's West End was disrupted by Gazza who reportedly drank two bottles of wine before shouting and stumbling around the room.

A source told the Mirror, "Gazza had knocked back two bottles of white wine when he stumbled across to Nelly's table shouting, 'Who the f*** is Nelly? Like I give a f*** it's his party.'"

Furtado then reportedly asked one of her aides, "Who is this idiot, I just want to party."

She then told her staff to remove Gascoigne from the venue which they promptly did, although it required three bouncers to do so.
