Goerge Clooney Single Again?

George Clooney is said to be "relieved" that he is no longer with girlfriend Sarah Larson. Apparently the actor had split from the former cocktail waitress, whom he dated for a year.

A pal told In Touch, "George is relieved to be single again. He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her."

"The truth is they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down."

Another pal told People that Larson had recently moved out of the star's LA home.

Clooney's agent has refused to confirm whether the couple have split or are still together.

Movie Awards Season

It's time for the stars of the big screen to step up and get their awards - if they win of course.

On 10 February the BAFTA Awards will be given out in London.

The 80th Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre, Los Angeles, on 24 February.

& the night before the Oscars, the Razzie Awards will be given out to acknowledge the worst in cinema this year. Lindsay Lohan and Eddie Murphy could be big 'winners' or losers there. I really hope 'Good Luck Chuck' gets a Razzie - as it is the most pathetic film I have ever seen!

Golden Globes Ceremony Scrapped

The Golden Globes ceremony has been cancelled and replaced with a news conference because of the strike by writers over royalties, reports BBC.

The winners of the US TV and film awards, regarded as second in prestige only to the Oscars, will instead be revealed in a low-key, hour-long news conference next Sunday.

Actors, including George Clooney and Keira Knightley had vowed to boycott the event in support of writers, according to reports. Without top names, networks had threatened not to screen the event.

Jorge Camara of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said, "We are all very disappointed that our traditional awards ceremony will not take place this year and that millions of viewers worldwide will be deprived of seeing many of their favourite stars."

Meanwhile, Oscars organisers say they are confident they will be able to "do the kind of show the public expects of us" on 24 February.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has been on strike since November over "residuals" - royalties for work distributed online or on DVD.

The dispute has brought to a standstill the production of nearly all TV comedy and drama shows including Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy.

Angelina Misses Clooney Premiere

Angelina Jolie reportedly refused to attend the New York premiere of George Clooney's latest film Michael Clayton, because she felt there was no reason why she should be there.

Jolie allegedly does not get on well with the actor, who is best friends with her partner Brad Pitt, because she is worried he could lead Brad astray from his duties as a father.

A source told Life and Style Weekly, "Angie is not particularly close to George, so she didn't see why she had to be there.

"She asked Brad if he minded going alone, but Brad says it wasn't really a question. And it was fine with him. Angie doesn't get along with any of Brad's friends. When they are back in Los Angeles she discourages him from going on boys' nights out."

Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children and one biological daughter together.

Clooney Injured In Motorcycle Crash

George Clooney has been injured in a motorcycle crash in New Jersey; not far from New York.

Clooney and his passenger were hurt when his motorcycle collided with a car on a narrow road on Friday, reports BBC.

The Ocean's 13 star suffered a broken rib and scrapes, while his passenger broke her foot. She is his girlfriend, Sarah Larson, according to E!

They were treated in hospital and later released, Clooney's spokesman said.

"He's doing fine. He has a broken rib, it's very painful and it'll take a long time to heal," he added.

Clooney, 46, is in the New York area to film Burn After Reading, co-starring Brad Pitt. The accident should not interrupt the film's schedule according to the spokey.

Clooney Has Plastic Surgery

George Clooney has revealed that he has had plastic surgery to improve his looks, reports DigitalSpy.

In an interview with Julia Roberts for the Oprah Winfrey Show, the actor revealed that he had had cosmetic surgery on his eyes - in order to look awake.

When asked by Roberts what had been the last biggest change in his life, Clooney replied, "I had my eyes done. Can you tell?"I think it's important to look awake."

Roberts then revealed that she had not as yet had any cosmetic surgery.
