Leona Lewis - Run

Leona Lewis proved that she has The X Factor when she performed a cover of Run - by Snow Patrol - when she performed on The X Factor.

The song is available available on the new edition of Spirit, in stores now and you can download it from from December 1.

Leona Reveals Adoptions Plans

Leona Lewis has revealed that she wants to adopt when she starts a family.

The X Factor winner recently visited African orphanages and said she was so affected by the experience that she wanted to "take home all the kids".

According to WENN, Lewis said: "I definitely plan to adopt. My mum was a social worker and my dad was a youth offender officer, so I know that there are a lot of kids out there that need to be fostered and adopted."

"When I was in Africa I wanted to take home all the kids. They were so cute. All of them had been orphaned because of HIV and it was heart-rending. There are so many who need help - you just don't know where to start."

Leona Against Harrods Fur

X Factor winner Leona Lewis pulled out of opening the Harrods winter sale last year because of her vegetarian beliefs, it has emerged.

The 23-year-old, who is firmly against animal cruelty, cancelled her public appearance at the department store in London because it stocked animal fur.

Harrods said it was told she cancelled "due to a scheduling clash".

Lewis, was recently voted the UK's sexiest vegetarian.

"I'm totally against animal cruelty," she said at the time. "I don't have clothes, shoes or bags made from any animal products."

Michael Jackson To Appear On X Factor?

According to The Sun, Michael Jackson has agreed to make a guest appearance on The X Factor.

Apparently the singer will give advice to contestants and comment on their performance.

An insider said, "We've got some huge names but Michael Jackson really is a sensational signing. He is a truly global, worldwide superstar. And this will be his first TV appearance in Britain since the Martin Bashir interview. Given his background with ITV, it's even more astonishing that he agreed to do it."

Jackson has not appeared on UK television since he was interviewed by Martin Bashir for ITV1 documentary Living With Michael Jackson, which aired in 2003. The film was one factor which led to Jackson's trial for child molestation in 2005.

Girls Aloud, Celine Dion, Rihanna, Kylie, Shayne Ward, Leona Lewis, Westlife and Mariah Carey will also be making appearances according to the report.

Leona Hoping To Duet With Whitney

'X Factor' winner Leona Lewis has revealed that she is hoping to record a duet with Whitney Houston.

Leona's career is being masterminded by music mogul Clive Davis - the man who launched Whitney's record-breaking career in the eighties.

Leona is hoping to be a part of Houston's seventh studio album, which is currently being recorded.

She told the Daily Mirror, "There's talk of me being on her comeback album. She's my idol."

I hope Leona does duet to with the fantastic Whitney. Leona is very talented, but apart from Kelly Clarkson, all reality TV contestants disappear after their five minutes of fame regardless of how talented they are [or not in some cases].

Leona Lewis Upset After Fight At Funeral

X Factor winner Leona Lewis was upset after a fight broke out at her grandmother's funeral, reports The Sun.

Tempers flared at a nightclub wake following gran Lorette Josiah’s cremation.

It started after Leona’s dad Joe refused to let her cousin, Gemma van Rein, in to the club.

A relative said: “He told Leona’s uncle to keep Gemma out. The girl arrived and couldn’t understand why she was barred from her own nan’s wake.

“A scuffle broke out and there was lots of shouting. Loads of people were in the street and everyone seemed to get involved.”

Police were called to the @ Club in Finsbury Park, but no one was arrested.

Last night a family member said: “Leona was inside and didn’t see the incident. But when she heard about it she was really upset.”

Leona Stays In The UK

X Factor winner Leona Lewis has told Simon Cowell that she does not want to move to the US.

The X Factor winner, 21, had been expected to base herself in the States, so that she could launch an international career. Bur she decided against the move. She has bought a new home in the UK with her partner Lou Al-Chamaa.

Lou's mother Anna told the Daily Star Sunday: "Everything is going really well for Leona - and Lou is right by her side. They have just moved in together."

She added "Obviously there were concerns about how things would work out for them if Leona moved to America. But after a number of heart-to-hearts Leona decided she didn't want to go. Lou has always been right behind Leona - and will support her every decision. They're both incredibly happy."

The Nominees are going to be announced and you can check out the Nominations Party on Tues 16 Jan, 8:00pm - ITV 2.

The BRIT Awards 2007 will take place on Wednesday February 14. The event will be hosted by Russell Brand. Among those performing on the night will be Oasis.

Leona Lewis and Lily Allen will be among those hoping to get nominated for a BRIT.
