The life of troubled singer Britney Spears has been put at risk by her early release from a hospital in Los Angeles, her parents have said.Jamie (pictured) and Lynne Spears said they were "extremely disappointed" that their daughter had been released against the recommendation of her psychiatrist.
Britney, accompanied by private security guards, slipped out of the UCLA Medical Center a week earlier than expected, reports BBC.
In a joint statement, her parents said: "We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."
Britney had been undergoing psychiatric evaluation since 31 January.
