EastEnders actor Phil Daniels has quit after nearly two years on the soap.The 47-year-old who plays Kevin Wicks on the BBC soap decided not to renew his contract. As a result executives have axed his on-screen children, Carly and Deano (played by Kellie Shirley and Matt Di Angelo).
Daniels told The Sun: "EastEnders has been an absolute pleasure, but it was always my intention, after two years in the job, to move on and do other things."
Diane Parish who plays Daniels' on-screen wife Denise will take a break from the soap as she is expecting a baby in real life. But she will be making a return.
