Angelina Jolie could be set for a return to Tomb Raider – if the latest game is a hit.
The actress starred as Lara Croft in two movies based on the hit games series, in 2001 and 2003.
As the games celebrate their 10th anniversary, creator Ian Livingstone has revealed to Mirror.co.uk that a third film instalment could reach the big screen.
“At this moment in time it’s still not green-lit, but the signs are there,” he said.
“Paramount have talked about the film for a long time, and I’ve had meetings with them. They’re willing to put a scriptwriter on board. Angelina Jolie has an option to do a third movie."
“I think when they see how successful Anniversary will be and realise that the world is still in love with Lara, they’ll be more inclined to exercise their option.”
