After opening the show with a top performace, the star won Best Female Artist and Best Download.
Band '30 Seconds To Mars' - fronted by actor Jared Leto - won Best Rock Video and Video of the Year for their song 'The Kill.'

Fergie won Sexiest Video, while Justin Timberlake and Timbaland won Best Hook-up [collaboration].
Australian Idol stars Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll also walked away with Best Pop Video & Best Male Artist, respectively.
Evanescence, Red Hot Chili Peppers & Good Charlotte, were among the other winners.
Joel Madden was co-host for the event which included an appearance from Nicole Richie.

Even though he was denied entry to Australia, rapper Snoop Dogg was still part of the ceremony via a recorded message.
