Beyonce Knowles could have a lawsuit on her hands after she covered a track by Des'ree, reports DigitalSpy.
The British singer claims that Beyonce did not have her full permission to record a cover of her track 'I'm Kissing You'. The song appeared on Beyonce's album B'Day, under the title 'Still In Love [I'm Kissing You]'.
Des'ree filed the case at Manhattan Federal Court on Wednesday, with the intention of stopping the distribution of the song. She is also demanding $150,000 in damages.
The two parties originally communicated over the possibility of the cover but Beyonce decided to forgo the negotiations and record the song anyway, according to Des'ree.
Des'ree had success with the songs 'You Gotta Be' and 'Life.'
