Randy Jackson To Be New X Factor Judge?

American Idol judge Randy Jackson is poised to replace Louis Walsh as one of two new judges on The X Factor, reports DigitalSpy.

The 50-year-old record producer, who has worked with Madonna, George Michael and Aretha Franklin during his 25-year music career, is said to be on the verge of signing a deal to appear on the TV singing contest.

He admitted: "I’d love to do it. I can’t wait to come to London. It will be a fantastic opportunity. I love working with Simon Cowell. We’re great friends.”

Jessica Simpson, Mel B and DJ Chris Moyles are among those rumored to be the fourth judge.

The two new judges will join Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne on the panel.

Meanwhile it is believed that Simon is keen to get a male presenter to replace Kate Thornton following the success that Ryan Seacrest has had fronting American Idol.

An offer was made to Dermot O'Leary, but he declined due to Big Brother commitments, reports The Mirror. Simon was also keen on T4's Steve Jones, but he too was unavailable.
