Lil' Kim is being sued by her record company over claims that she has not delivered on her contract. Brookland Media took out the $2.5 million (£1.5 million) suit against the rapper at Manhattan's Supreme Court on Tuesday.
According to the lawsuit, Lil’ Kim did not deliver promised material, despite hundreds of thousands of dollars being spent on equipment and advance payments. It also claimed that she tried to change the contract and refused to continue recording unless Brookland agreed, resulting in only a few tracks being completed by early September.
