Paris Prepares For Jail Time

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in L.A. County jail for violating her probation in a reckless driving case, reports TMZ.com

Moments before the judge made his decision Paris said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

The judge told Paris that there will be no alternative form of punishment...she must do the time.

The judge described her rep's -Elliot Mintz - testimony as "completely worthless."
Her parents were said to be upset, especially her mother Kathy who said, "This is pathetic. I can't believe all the money we spent on this," after Paris was sentenced.

Her defense attorney said he would appeal and called the sentence "inappropiate". He added that Paris was "singled out because of who she is."

Paris will serve her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF). She will begin her sentence on June 5. If she fails to report on the scheduled date, her sentence will be doubled.

For her own safety, Paris will most likely be segregated from the rest of the prisoners and live in a one or two-person cell. Paris will get just one hour a day to shower, exercise, watch TV or talk on the phone.

The heiress will have the option of one of four different coloured jumpsuits. Depending on how she is classified and where she is housed in the facility, Paris could don a blue, brown, white or classic orange one-piece.
Former 'Lost' star Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in the very same facility in which Paris is scheduled to do time for the very same offense - probation violation over a DUI conviction. Rodriguez served a total of 2 hours before jail officials released her.
