Liz Hurley is angry that her father-in-law told newspapers that Liz and her husband treated her in-law's poorly at their wedding in India, reports Daily Mirror.
Vinod Nayar has disowned son Arun, who married Hurley last month.
Vinod said he and his wife Joanne were treated as "second-class citizens" at the wedding.
A friend of Liz said, "Elizabeth is extremely hurt but angry too. She can't believe he has gone public like this."
"Some of us think Joanne is to blame for this and encouraged Arun's father to speak out."
Meanwhile devout Hindu, Vishnu Khandelwal, who is thought never to have met Liz or her huby, has begun legal proceedings saying their lavish wedding broke various Hindu customs.
Among the allegations are that Hurley refused to take off her shoes when they arrived at the marriage place and that she drank alcohol. Kissing is also against Hindu culture. In a bizzare twist the prosecuting lawyer said, "We are using the Hello! pictures to prove our case."
That's right the pics that Hello! bought for $5 million!
It is believed that Liz's father-in-lawyer will help the prosecution if necessary.
Liz and Arun could face three years in jail, if found guilty reports the Herald Sun.
