Snoop & Diddy Cancel UK Tour

Fans are angry after rappers Snoop Dogg and P Diddy cancelled the UK leg of their tour, because Snoop Dogg was refused entry to the country.

A tour spokesman said efforts had been made to "reverse the decision".

P Diddy said the news was "disappointing" as they had planned a "special show" for their fans.

Diddy said they had no idea this would happen.

"Once his work permit was granted, everybody felt comfortable to go ahead and put the concert up, It wasn't like this was the first time we were in discussions with the Home Office. You know there were discussions prior to this - they led us to believe that everything would be approved," he said.

Despite the tour being cancelled, Diddy insists there are no hard feelings.

"I know that Snoop is a great guy, a positive guy, and I'm not throwing any stones at the Home Office or at the government. Everybody has their own laws and their own rules in their own countries, and, you know, we're going to respect them," added Diddy.

He added that he would not consider doing the concerts without Snoop Dogg, and pledged to return to the UK to perform a free show as an apology to fans.

In an interview with MTV in Amsterdam, Snoop Dogg - real name is Calvin Broadus - agreed that the UK authorities' had left it very late to make their decision.

"They knew I was coming six, seven weeks ago, so they could have denied me access then," he said.

The visa decision follows a string of run-ins with the law as the 35-year-old rapper is currently facing weapons and drugs charges in the US.
