Kate Thornton and Louis Walsh were last night dumped by bosses worried they were making the show dull.
Former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, 36, and Fearne Cotton, 25, are favourites to take over from Thornton.
Meanwhile 2 new judges will be joining Simon and Sharon.
Walsh told Newsround that he would like DJ Chris Moyles to replace him.
Auditions begin next month. Bosses gave also lowered the age limit, so 14 year olds can now apply.
