Benoit Tragedy Update

TMZ reports, in a statement by a member of the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department it was said, "Mr, Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area."

According to officials, Nancy was bound at the wrists and feet, with a towel wrapped around her body, and blood was found underneath her head. A Bible was also reportedly found near each of the bodies.

Police have confirmed that prescription drugs and steroids were found in the house. Benoit was found hanging in a weight room in his house. Police say that he used a cord from one of his workout machines as a noose.

It is currently unknown what was written in the "curious" text messages which Chris sent to friends. These messages led to the VP of Government Relations for WWE to ask the Fayette County sheriffs to check on Benoit and his family at their residence. The bodies of Chris, his wife Nancy and their 7-year-old son Daniel were then discovered in different rooms at the house.

Paris Released From Prison

Paris Hilton was released from jail earlier today after serving 23 days of her prison sentence.

The heiress left the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California and was collected by her parents Rick and Kathy.

Paris was sentenced to 45 days in jail last month for violating the terms of her probation for a drink-driving offence, but has been released early due to good behaviour.

Benoit Family Deaths Result Of Murder - Suicide

WWE wrestler Chris Benoit was found dead on Monday 25th June by Fayette County sheriffs. Benoit was scheduled to appear at the WWE Vengance PPV on Sunday but he was unable to attend due to a "family emergency." h.e bodies of Chris, his wife Nancy and their 7-year-old-son Daniel were discovered at Benoit’s new home in Fayetteville reports WWE.com

The deaths were the result of a double murder-suicide. TMZ reports that Benoit may have strangled his wife on Saturday, then smothered his son in his bed a day later.

According to sources, Benoit then hanged himself on Monday in a weight room inside the family home.

Chris Benoit, 40, was famous for working as a wrestler all over the world and for being a part of ECW, WCW & WWE. Chris has won many titles including the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania XX. His wife had also worked in the wrestling industry; known to most fans as 'Woman' while working in WCW & ECW.

The deaths of the Benoit family shocked the wrestling world as just over a week ago [June 15], WWE Hall Of Famer 'Sensational 'Sherri Martel died.

Eddie Is The Daddy

Eddie Murphy is the father of Mel B's 2-month-old baby, according to a DNA test, reports TMZ.

A rep for Melanie Brown - aka Scary Spice - confirmed that Mel has received the test results and they prove that Murphy is the father of Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Former Coronation Street actress Nikki Sanderson has revealed that she will not be returning to the soap as Candice Stowe this year.

Barrymore Released Without Charge

Michael Barrymore has been released by police without charge.

The presenter, 55, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder and sexual assault as part of a new inquiry into the death of Stuart Lubbock at his home in 2001.

Two other men were also arrested but one was released on bail along with Barrymore.

"Michael has not been charged with any offence. He has fully co-operated with the police in their inquiries," said a spokesman for Barrymore, adding that he "categorically denies" the allegations.

Sex Offender Axed From Talent Show

Singing impressionist Richard Bates was axed from TV show Britain's Got Talent yesterday because he is a sex offender, police have confirmed.

A Lancashire police force spokesman said there were concerns that the singer, 27, might be seen on the programme by his victim or victim's family.

The winner of the talent show will get the oppurtunity to perform at the Royal Variety Show.

Mel C Gives Spice Girls The Go Ahead

Melanie C has revealed that she would be willing to be part of a Spice Girls reunion.

"For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumours... it could happen," she told BBC London 94.9.

But the singer, also known as Sporty Spice, said it would just be for "a very short space of time... a final goodbye" and a thank you to fans.

It is thought that Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Geri Halliwell had already agreed to reunite but Melanie C had resisted until now.

"I don't want to be the person that stops it happening or stops it being a five-piece," she added.

Mel said she admired Take That, who have enjoyed renewed success since they got back together last year - minus Robbie.

Four Men To Enter Big Brother House

Big Brother bosses are hoping to hot things up in the house by sending in four more guys.

The new arrivals will include a millionaire, a former county cricket player who's now a tree surgeon, a model who is a huge wrestling fan, and a 'cosmic ordering' devotee.

"The girls are going to be really happy to get four guys and viewers will be excited too," a source told the Daily Mirror.

Tonight is also the first eviction night of the series as Shabnam, Carole or Tracey will be evicted tonight.

Oprah World's Most Powerful Celeb

Oprah Winfrey is the world's most powerful celebrity, according to Forbes.

Madonna was absent from the list last year, but she took third place this year after a successful tour.

The list, published annually, takes into account celebrities' earnings, internet presence and press, TV and radio coverage.

The Rolling Stones and Elton John were among others in the top 10. Other British entries include JK Rowling in 48th place, Harry Potter film stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in 79th and 97th place respectively. David Beckham is 15th.

Mel 'Sporty Spice' C could be making a cameo appearance in top soap Coronation Street.

A source close to the soap said, "Mel has made it known to us that she'd be up for a cameo - maybe in a Christmas episode. But it's very early days and nothing is set in concrete."

"We're thinking of ways of making this possible - after all, Status Quo worked out brilliantly."

A Corrie source told Teletext, "Kym Ryder (former Hear'Say singer) has worked out brilliantly and we think Mel would be great. Mel has said publicly she'd like to appear in a cameo at some point."

ITV Announce Beckham Reality Show

ITV has announced it is making a reality television show following David Beckham's move to the US.

It will follow his last matches for Real Madrid before he moves to California.

The show will then see him take up his position with LA Galaxy agreed in a £128 million deal last year. Beckham will also speak about his feelings concerning the move.

Jeff Anderson, boss of the channel, commented: "The move to America and the recall to the England team adds a new and fascinating chapter to the David Beckham story. We're delighted to have access to that story from the inside."

Michael Barrymore Arrested

Michael Barrymore is among three men arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a man after a party at the entertainer's home, sources have said.

Essex police say that the three men will also be quizzed on an allegation of sexual assault.

Stuart Lubbock died when he was found in a swimming pool at Barrymore's home in Roydon, Essex, six years ago.

Simon Triumphs In Apprentice Final

Simon Ambrose was victorious last night in 'The Apprentice', as Sir Alan Sugar said, "You're hired," while pointing at the 27-year-old.

Many were shocked to see that Simon had beat Kristina Grimes in the final.

Kristina, 36, told BBC Breakfast, "It was a huge surprise to me. I just thought, 'What is this all about?' I out-performed Simon."

Simon will now take on a £100,000 salary while working for Sir Alan Sugar.

I wonder if Simon will take Tre, Jadine, Lohit and Rory on their weekend away now that he heas won?

Katie Fired From Real Job

Katie Hopkins, was fired from her real job, her employer confirmed, earlier this week. Katie was also caught in an outdoor romp with a married man and the pictures made their way into the media.

The Met Office, where the 31-year-old worked as a brand consultant, said she failed to pass a probationary period. A spokesman would not comment on reports that she was fired because of her conduct on the show, but said it was an aspect of her review.

While on 'The Apprentice' Katie admitted that she lied and cheated "to get someone else's husband because I wanted him." She also sold her story to the press.

'The Apprentice' finalisits have hit out at Katie's revelations with Simon Ambrose saying, "I come from a broken home and I didn't appreciate Katie's actions...I didn't think it should be something that is congratulated."

Meanwhile Kristina Grimes said, even if Katie never backed out of the final, "She would have eventually got the axe."

Sir Alan Sugar told GMTV, "What I can't understand about Katie is the way she's portrayed herself in such a manner. I'm at a loss to understand what she is doing. People don't like her. I don't understand the lady."

Pompeo Not Bothered About Washington's Firing

After finding out that her co-star Isaiah Washington had been fired from the show, Ellen Pompeo told E!, "It doesn't really have a tremendous lot to do with me. Timbaland Takes It To The Street

Timbaland and his pals allegedly attacked a man outside a hotel in Germany.

The argument allegedly started when a man named Robert F became visibly upset about his girlfriend talking to Timbaland. After Robert F called Timbaland the N word, the music producer attacked him. The fight then moved from the lobby bar to the street in front of the hotel.

Robert was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while Timb was taken to the slammer, reports TMZ. Timbaland was released on €750 bail early Monday morning and the matter is still under investigation.

Winehouse Beats Up Her Hubby

Amy Winehouse has admitted that she often tries to attack her husband Blake Fielder-Civil when she is drunk, reports DigitalSpy.

Is Murphy The Daddy?

Eddie Murphy will undergo a DNA test to determine whether he is the father of Mel B's baby. Eddie denied that he is the father of two-month-old Angel Iris, after splitting with Mel while she was pregnant.

The 'Dreamgirls' actor has now been ordered to appear in a U.S. court to provide a DNA test after Mel requested legal action to resolve the dispute, reports Exposay.

A source told The Sun, "If he tries to duck out of this test there will be all hell to pay. This isn't just another girlfriend he is messing around, this is his own flesh and blood.

"Mel knows the baby is Eddie's... He has left her with no choice. This isn't about the money. It's about Angel knowing for sure who her dad is."

Mel, 32, was "devastated" when Eddie ended their romance late last year. At the time, Eddie told Dutch TV, "I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test."

The actor, who has five children, has not seen Mel or baby Angel Iris since she was born. I think that Eddie is the father, I doubt that Mel would sleep around or make something like this up.

Why Did They Leave The Firing So Late?

Isaiah Washington has been axed from 'Grey's Anatomy' and and his spokesperson told TV Guide's Michael Ausiello:

"If they wanted to fire him, why didn't hey fire him when [the incident] happened? If you made a mistake, you acknowledged the mistake, you went into counseling, you met with the groups, you did the PSA, you did everything that was asked of you, and then they still kick you in the gut? How would you feel?"

I agree, why didn't they fire him when it happened instead of dragging it on forever and then deciding to give him the boot. I'm not sure if Grey's will be the same without Preston Burke.

Paris Gets Special Treatment?

Paris Hilton got a visit on Sunday from her sister Nicky and ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos, the first family or friends to see the heiress in jail.

"She's being strong," Nicky told reporters after the 30-minute visit at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility's medical ward.

Nicky & Stavros jumped the queue and other visitors were not happy, "We don't care about no Paris Hilton. We're here for our families," said one upset mother, reports People.
