Actress Daryl Hannah hopes to adopt a child, reports Digital Spy.

The 'Kill Bill' star is not planning to adopt an African child because she believes that there are many of American orphans who are in need of a safe home.

She said, "There are more than half a million children here in the US who need to be adopted or need homes - so-called hard to adopt kids because they're not babies and come from troubled backgrounds - so I think that's probably the way I'd go."

£11m Beckingham Palace In Beverly Hills

David and Victoria Beckham have found a new family home in the suburb of Beverly Hills, reports Daily Mail.

Victoria has already taken Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise on a tour of the house, which is believed to have cost £11million.

The new 'Beckingham Palace ' has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, six marble fireplaces and a large-scale amusement room.

Boy George Arrested

Boy George has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault charges.

Auden Carlsen, 28, alleges that the former Culture Club singer and another man chained him to a wall at the singer's east London flat.

Carlsen, a Norwegian male escort - who says he met George on a dating site for gay men - had arrived at the flat to pose for photographs in exchange for money.

Carlsen told The Mirror, "I was convinced I was going to die. George handcuffed me to a hook by the bed as they held me down."

A police spokesperson said, “We investigated reports of an alleged forced imprisonment and common assault made by a 28-year-old man. A man in his forties was arrested in connection with the investigation."

Sugababe Arrested

Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has been arrested over allegations that she assaulted an 18-year-old woman.

The incident is said to have happened in a bar in Surrey on Saturday night.

A soucre told the Mirror, "By the end of the scuffle, Amelle had a handful of hair extensions."

Amelle, 23, spent the night in a police cell, but was released on bail the next morning so that she could join her bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range on a flight to the US.

A police spokesperson said: “A 23-year-old female was arrested following an incident at a Guildford town centre bar. She was questioned and released on bail pending further enquiries.”

Emmerdale actor Ben Freeman has failed to get a rape charge dropped, reports The Mirror.

A magistrate in Barbados rejected lawyers' claims there was not enough evidence for a trial. Freeman, 26, will now have to face his 16-year-old alleged victim in court. He claims she consented to sex on a hotel sun lounger. The case was adjourned until Thursday.

Peter Andre Suffering From Meningitis

Peter Andre has been told by doctors that he is suffering from meningitis, reports DigitalSpy.

He was admitted to hospital last weekend but a series of tests failed to find anything wrong until he was diagnosed with viral meningitis yesterday. The condition is less dangerous than bacterial meningitis, which has a high risk of causing death if left untreated.

Andre's wife Katie Price visited him in hospital last night, arriving with a camera crew. She told reporters, "No comment, not unless you give me £1 million."

A friend of the couple told The Sun: "Jordan has been sick with worry, but at least now they know what it is. Peter fell ill in the US, where they were doing promotion work for their fly-on-the-wall TV show."

Friend Denies TomKat Marriage Problems

Tom Cruise's marriage to Katie Holmes is not in trouble, according to actress Jenna Elfman.

Digital Spy reports, Jenna, a friend of the couple denied claims that Holmes is being forced to take on the same religious beliefs as Cruise and is living in a "prison-like environment".

Jenna, who is also a fellow Scientologist said, "It's so absolutely not that. "It's hard to give a detailed explanation on something that's simple."

Love Hewitt Sued By Former Management

TMZ reports, a lawsuit has been filed against Jennifer Love Hewitt. The suit claims Hewitt owes her former management company for brokering the seven-year deal for her hit show "The Ghost Whisperer."

Handprint Management alleges that Hewitt breached her contract, and claims her career wasn't really going anywhere until landing a role on the hit series. They say their work brought her "back to national prominence as a television star."

J-Love cut ties with Handprint in March 2005, but the lawsuit claims that her big deal for "Ghost" was struck while she was with them. Handprint also says Hewitt paid them in full for the first season of her hit show, but refused to pay for season two.

The suit is seeking a minimum of $350,000 in damages.

Woman Tried To Kill Sandra Bullock's Husband

A woman tried to kill Sandra Bullock's husband, Jesse James, on Sunday morning outside the couples Southern California home, reports People.

Orange County sheriff's spokesman said, "At around 10:40 a.m. James found the suspect, Marcia Valentine, lying on their driveway. He told her to leave, but instead she got into her 2004 silver Mercedes and tried to run him over three to four times... Valentine tried to kill him."

Bullock, 42, and James's 10-year-old son, Jesse Jr, witnessed the attack.

After the attack on James, 38, Valentine fled the scene. However, the following day, just before 10 a.m., an officer recognized her car and arrested her for assault with a deadly weapon. She has since posted $25,000 bail, and is due in court on May 22.

Bullock's rep said both "James and Bullock are fine."

Valentine, 46, has stalked Bullock in the past.

Doctors fear Peter Andre could have been struck down by deadly brain disease meningitis, reports the Sun.

His wife Jordan was at his hospital bedside last night after doctors gave him a brain scan.

Peter, 34, underwent the test as he battles to overcome a mystery illness.

A statement released this morning said: "Following recent tests on Peter Andre at the East Surrey Hospital, it is believed that Peter is suffering from suspected Meningitis.

Peter was admitted last weekend, and at this time we do not have an expected date of discharge."

Naomi Watts has infuriated Australia by revealing she still calls Britain home, reports The Sun.

Watts was born in Kent - in England - but moved to Sydney when she was 14 with her mother and brother in the early 1980s. Watts told a UK newspaper she still considers herself British.

BBC Prepared To Pull The Plug On Neighbours

'Neighbours' could be moving home in the UK. According to reports both ITV and Five are interested in acquiring popular Aussie soap .

The BBC currently pays £25,000 per episode. It is currently negotiating a deal with distributor Fremantle. The Beeb has called Fremantle's demands "unrealistic and greedy," after its offer of about £70,000 per episode was rejected.

BBC director of acquisitions George McGhee told Broadcast: "If a deal is not reached in the very, very near future, we will withdraw the money and move it elsewhere. We quite possibly will [move it by the end of this week]."

That's right Neighbours could be dropped by the BBC very very soon! Neighbours has been a regular fixture for the BBC's daytime schedule and consistently performs well.
