Ashlee Simpson has denied claims that she is dating musician Chad Hugo, reports DigitalSpy.The singer was spotted leaving a US nightclub with Hugo after reportedly being snubbed by actor Ryan Phillippe, leading to speculation that she had started a relationship with the N*E*R*D member.
A rep for Ash insisted: "That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on."
