Corrie favourite Wendi Peters has decided to quit the soap according to various sources.The 38 year old who plays Cilla Battersby-Brown joined the soap in 2003, but now wants to work on new projects and spend more time with her family.
The actress said "I feel very privileged to have been given the fantastic character of Cilla and I shall really miss her."
She will leave the soap in the autumn.
